Things to Do
Without having to drive there’s plenty to see and do near Hall’s Mill House. Why not enjoy a walk along the River Arrow, listen to the birdsong and watch the wildlife? Or, on a clear night, look out at the exceptional night skies and hear the owls hooting as you do so.
For the more energetic, nearby centres offer horse riding, cycling, canoeing and kayaking or golf. The Offa’s Dyke path, 1.5 miles from the house, provides stunning views and a walk of whatever length you require.
Days out
The Black and White Villages trail – follow a circular route of around 40 miles through the lovely English villages and their historic timber-framed buildings.
Historic Llanthony Priory, is interesting to visit and the Black Mountains have stunning views as do the Brecon Beacons.
In Kington, there’s the Hergest Croft Gardens and Tearoom and the Small Breeds Farm Park and Owl Centre. Nearby at Presteigne don’t miss the Judges Lodgings historic museum and house.
No visit to us would be complete without spending time in the famous town of books, Hay-on-Wye, although during Hay Festival you will need to book early to get a room with us!
